AN INTERVIEW WITH THE ZURICH JEWELRY DESIGNER

Artist Nicole Hana Kim crafts each piece by hand in her workshop in Binz, working closely with foundry partners from Switzerland. Nicole loves to fortify herself with our Granola Chocolate before returning to her full concentration on her creations.

Nicole, how did you discover The Tiny Factory?

I first learned about The Tiny Factory through Sibylle. We used to work in the same building and enjoyed stopping by for a chat every now and then. Later, our paths crossed at various markets where we sold our respective products.

What are your morning rituals?

I usually get up around 7:30/8:00 a.m. Then I make myself a coffee and sit down at my laptop in my pajamas to catch up on the first emails. I like to laze around at home a bit before getting ready for the day.

Which type of Tiny Factory Granola do you enjoy the most and how do you eat your granola?

I like the chocolate version – it's not only perfect for breakfast but also as a snack between meals, even just a handful of granola, without quark and fruit. I think the chocolate granola with currants is a perfect combination in the morning – a delicious interplay of sweet and sour.

The Tiny Factory is for you:

  • A simple product rethought and sustainably designed from production to content to distribution
  • Simple ingredients combined in such a way that it is surprising how delicious you can make granola
  • Girl power
